Hello Everyone
« on: September 15, 2017, 07:31:50 AM »
New member here from Lincolnshire in the good ol' UK
I've had keyboards for many years now, started many years ago with Yamaha PSR 410 IIRC correctly. Also owned Technics Kn2000,KN5000,KN6000 and traded in  a KN7000 to get the Tyros 5-76 when they appeared on the market, and a great keyboard it is.
I've been following with ardent interest all the discussion and speculation regarding the new  Genos ,and also I might add ,I have been  a regular guest on this great forum  for many years.
Now looking forward to seeing and hearing the Genos in anticipation, and of course reading all the reviews and opinions on this forum

Best regards to all

Alan

Hi Roger and many thanks for the welcome message.

I suppose you could describe me as a "lurker"  around the keyboard forums,so I do know a bit of what is available here, but having said that I am very grateful for the information you have supplied ,and will no doubt take advantage of at some future date.
All the intrigue and speculation is so interesting regarding the Genos,I remember it being this way whilst waiting for the   newest Technics ,and what good keyboards they were !😂 Such a shame they did not continue with keyboard production,I believe Phil Leader (Technics product specialist) has some input now into Yamaha products,so we can still blame him if we are not happy about something! Ha Ha 😁😁
I can quite understand how some people are quite apprehensive about features apparently appearing on the new Genos, but I firmly believe Yamaha cannot stand still with new innovations, and have to bring new things to keyboards to maintain interest in them ,and respond to market demands.
However ,all will be revealed soon and I am confident people will soon be placing deposits for the Genos,I will take my time and assess my financial means to upgrade, and if the new keyboard is what I need, but on first impressions ,I am very interested.

Once again ,many thanks

Alan
