Hi

I used to have a Tyros 2, it is a great keyboard
To my knowledge the Sub must be powered and it powers the other two speakers.
If you want to use any other speakers then yes they must be powered, the Tyros does not have an inbuilt amplifier.
If I am wrong I am sure someone more Tech savvy will correct me  ;D

Hello Illllm,

The only amplifier built into the Tyros 2 is the headphone amplifier (300 Milliwatts). This is why the optional TRS-MS 02 housing is available. This subwoofer actually contains a 2x20 watt stereo amplifier for the 2 satellite speakers and a 20 watt Amplifier for the bass speaker that is in the subwoofer.

Through the Line Out, it is possible to connect amplified speakers for a more muscular sound.

Best regards
