Hi
Use Audacity a free audio editor. Load your MP3 and save it as WAV 44.1 sample rate 16 bit resolution stereo. That is the WAV format your keyboard requires.

I believe the Tyros 3 does not play MP3 files... only WAV files.  The MP3 player was first ntroduced with the PSR S910.

Once you have converted the file into the correct .WAV format, you use the 'IMPORT WAVE' function on the second MENU page of the 'AUDIO' display to import the file to the T3 internal hard disk.  Once imported, the file can be selected to play.  If you get an error when trying to import the file, the .WAV format is probably wrong.

The process is clearly described in the section 'Importing an Audio File' on page 80 of the 'Tyros3 Reference Manual'  (not the Owner's manual!), which can be downloaded from your local Yamaha Downloads for Tyros3 web page.

Here is a link to the correct page on the UK site...    http://download.yamaha.com/search/product/?site=uk.yamaha.com&language=en&category_id1=16277&category_id2=16084&category_id3=&product_id=1007003

Hi  jjs84568,

Another free program to convert WAV files to MP3 is ConverterLite.  It's very easy to use.

I use Audacity also, as Joe mentioned, but find it faster to use ConverterLite if that's all I intend to do with the WAV file.

There are a few websites where you can convert files on-line. You Will need to make sure the name of the converted file is not to long or the keyboard Will not see it.
