PSR S710 motherboard update to S910
« on: Yesterday at 09:14:08 AM »
Hello everyone, I am Randru I am new here.  :)

I have an old keyboard S710, I don't have budget to buy recent keyboard such S700 but wanted to have at least the sound bank of the S910. I wanted to ask if someone have tried to update the motherboard of the S710 to S910 or even to S750, would such manipulation work?

Thanks

If you don't need the mic input or the better speakers, yes it probably would... but why would you? it'll cost more for an s910 motherboard (new, since you probably can't find one used) than a 2nd hand s910 would cost. Not to mention the insane amount of labour that would be involved in jury rigging something like this. I'd guesstimate it'll cost you approximately 5 times the price of a good used s910, based on the cost of the parts and labour in Canada.

Hello Amwilburn. Thank you for your advice. I am only thinking for a plan if it was possible, then look for a used motherboard and change it myself 😅
But yes, I understand your advice is good, I have to wait for a while to earn money to buy an S910 😅
Thanks
