It’s Christmas Music Time Very Soon
« on: October 16, 2021, 08:54:41 AM »
Keeps coming round. Time to get my old Christmas music books out again. I think that the only tunes that people love to hear are oldies, being going round for years , and I still love to play them. Loads of music books on Amazon, eBay and the rest, but almost all the songs are re released copies of oldies. Now where did I put Rocking around the Christmas tree in Ez play.

I've played a ton of Christmas shows over the past 25 years. With rare exception, I find the traditional songs are the best. One of the "modern" songs is Let It Be Christmas by Allen Jackson. It's a stellar piece of writing and leans more toward the traditional side than most of the modern stuff.
"Learn" your music correctly, then "practice" it. Don't practice mistakes because you'll learn them.
