Hi jtsasa,

the Voice posted by Toril is only a "Voice Set" file (.vce) that contains no sound (but only the Voice Set data for a particular Preset Voice).

You can load that Voice file simply by selecting it from USB stick (in the Voice Select display of a Keyboard Part, e. g. Right 1).

BUT this .vce file uses the Voice Number #000-114-027 (= MSB 0 / LSB 114 / PRG 27), and in the S775 Voice List I coud not find any GUITAR Voices in that Voice Bank (#000-114). Only on #000-114-026 I found a "Mandolin".

Nevertheless, the Voice could sound properly on S775, because Yamaha XG tone generators often REPLACE missing Voices automatically by "similar" Voices. Best of all, you just try it. :)

P.S.
You can NOT use those .vce Voices in Styles, MIDI files or for Expansion Packs!

P.P.S.
If not already done, I recommend to try also the following S775 Preset Voices:

Panel Voices (category "Guitar"):
• PedalSteelAmp (S.Art!)
• PedalSteel (S.Art!)
AlohaGuitar (Regular)

Legacy Voices (category "Guitar")
• PedalSteel (Regular)

To open the Legacy Voice folder, press any Voice Category button. Then press "UP" (upper button "8") and tab to page 2. There you should see the Legacy folder. :)

Best regards,
Chris

Hi Toril S,

those Voice Set files are little MIDI files. You can open it in MixMaster, for example. (Click on "List" button, and you can see the MIDI data inside.) :)

Hi jtsasa,

this is a user-made Expansion Pack (named "SAMPLES YAMAHA 550"). On 13:01 in the video the "Expansion/User" button is pressed, and you can see the Voices in that Pack.

Did you try the Preset Voices that I suggested before (for example "AlohaGuitar")?

Best regards,
Chris
