New baby came home today PSR S975
« on: September 24, 2018, 08:30:58 PM »
It took a while to find one but I'm stubborn so I found one online Archambeault MUSIC in Montreal.Ordered it on the 21st and it got here today the 24th.
Am I too old or this this much heavier than the per s950.

I gave it a little ride but I'm gonna have to work hard to make up for 10 years.I will pay my membership in the next few days.
Have a good week
Bob.

Hello Bob! Congratulations! I believe the weight is about the same. Tnose keyboards are heavy beasts, but, Oh, so much fun! Enjoy!

Hi Bob,

S950 has a weight of 11,5 kg and S975 is 11,6 kg. So it's just "a bar of chocolate" heavier than the 950. Can be, it really is the AGE ... ;)

Enjoy you new S975!

Best regards,
Chris

Robfind I might be following in your footsteps - I have the PSR s-950 but it has issues so I am thinking "975".

I don't have a lot of time to spend learning new gear - are you finding the 975 to be more or less like the 950 for functionality? [is that a word? whats it mean? lol] as in "getting around on it"?

The rubber buttons quit working on my 950, I wonder if Yamaha made that any better in the 975? How do the buttons feel?

Yep, it’s a word— although perhaps the word you were looking for was “navigability”? :)
