One button to control on/off functions for two voices
« on: September 23, 2018, 09:21:15 PM »
I've had a look at the manuals and it does not appear this is possible but I thought I would ask anyhow.

I'm working on the Beatles From Me To You.
In the intro (and solo break) a harmonica is playing the lead.
I am using Accordion Voice - SteirscherBass for Right 1 (default at the beginning of the song is that it is on)
I am also using E. Guitar Voice - FingerChoruus for Right 2 (default at the beginning of the song is that it is off)

So these settings work fine for the Intro.
However, when Verse 1 comes in, I want to turn off Right 1 and turn on Right 2.
This would remain until the solo where I would want to reverse this by  turning on Right 1 and turning off Right 2.

Again, after the solo I would want to reverse this again.

As a not so easy solution,
I have set up two Assignable Keys to do this -  D & E (as logically they are closest to my right hand playing the chords).
However it can be a bit tricky while I find myself sometimes not hitting one or the other buttons.

Is there an easier (one button to press) solution?

Hi Depo.
why don't you just use:
1. The One Touch Settings (OTS) or

2. Main Variations+OTS link,
to change the voice automatically when you change the main variations or

3.Registrations to change voices for a song?

There  are big buttons close to your left and to your right hand or in the middle to use and you can do it also with a foot pedal.

Quoting
"However, when Verse 1 comes in, I want to turn off Right 1 and turn on Right 2.
This would remain until the solo where I would want to reverse this by  turning on Right 1 and turning off Right 2."

Just use 2 fingers for a single simultaneous press of the R1 and 2 buttons. To reverse the effect for the solo do the same again.

Whichever button is on will go off, and vice versa.

Hi Depo,

my old 9000pro had this feature and I missed it on the Genos, too. You have one registration with R1 and R2 programmed and if you change anything, it automaticly goes right. While Playing you simply switch between R1 and R2.
I do it the following way: I still program both voices  togther with all other settings (mixer, DSP etc) on registration slot 1. Than switch to the other voice and program that on registration 2.
If you want and have a spare pedal, you can now use registration sequences to switch with a tap of your foot.

yours

Registrations are the solution for this.

Program one registration button with R1 only, and the other with R2 only.

NB Using R1 and R2 on separate registrations should avoid the glitch sound that happens when you switch between two voices which have DSP applied.

Thanks DerekA.
Now why didn't I think of that.  ;)
Much appreciated. :)

REGISTRATION BUTTON sequence is your friend here, and nothing else! You can even program a simple fill for each change.
Best to use them. Very difficult without.
