Topic: Tyros 5 error message?

I just purchased a Tyros 5 76 and love it!  However, I have a huge number of midi files and styles but when I load them (via PC) to the Tyros HD I get the following error message:
"Can't Proceed:  Too many files are contained in one folder".  ?  Help for a noob is greatly appreciated!!

Hi,
Try to transform your folder  to different smaller folders and  try to reload your files

Hello The keyboard has a limit to how many files can be contained in one folder. Put no more than 250 styles in each folder. It may be that the Tyros takes more, I don't own a Tyros, but try this, and all will be well. There is nothing wrong with your Tyros. Enjoy it, and congratulations!

Hiya

Transfer the files IN the folders 'chunk-by-chunk'
eg, all the A's, then B's .. or 4 pages at a time. I had this issue.
Hardest bit is remembering when you go back, where you got to!
Unlike Windows, you cant open more than one folder!
*Remember on the keyboard, when you select styles to browse, you wont see other file types, and cant copy those, until you select those types of files from the panel (like Pad, Registrations, Voices, etc)
You'll get the hang of it.
Unfortunately, Yamaha do not use a file Explorer, like we know from PC's!
