Unlocking SAR files
« on: August 27, 2018, 07:52:04 AM »
Hi Everyone,
I have a Trumpet voice as an "SAR" file & wish to unlock it.
I don't have the software on my computer as yet,  but what is the most suitable software to download,  & will it be safe on my computer.

Regards

Alan

SAR Voice is a super articulated voice and should play without converting. Depending on your model keyboard of course.
PSR-2000 and PSR-S950

Voice files are actually Standard MIDI files (SMF) in disguise. Rename the SAR file; change the "sar" to "mid" and load the renamed file into a DAW or other MIDI editor.

Hope this helps out -- pj

Dick  -  You're correct.  I loaded in my T4 & it plays as you said.

Derek  -  I thought it would need unlocking similar to a Zip file.

pjd  -  I haven't tried as you suggest,  but I will shortly.

Many thanks to you all for your help.
