No problem, we'd love to help.

What does "don't work" mean? They don't light up? They don't load the pad? They're off tempo?

The more you can tell us about the problem, the easier it will be to solve.

Hello Kellyboy1,

You have to disassemble your PSR 910 to access the circuit "PNR" where are the contacts of the 4 Multipad keys then clean all the contacts on the surface (SW25 to SW 30) of this card with an anti-crash bomb with cotton buds for the electronic contacts and also the carbon contacts that are under the 6 keys used by this Multipads section.

See page 56 of the PSR S 910 Service Manual that you can download at: https://app.box.com/s/1xoyutkkqi8uoi65au5p9tipp1234s7e

Best Regards

Whatever you do, NEVER use an oil-based cleaner like WD40 or similar. Great for rusty locks but it will ruin your keyboard.

Denatured alcohol is the best cleaner I know of to cure you problem, but the best solution is to just replace the switch strip, which is not all that difficult of expensive.

Hello Kellyboy1

Gary is right that the denatured alcohol is sufficient to attempt to restore the PNR-printed circuit contacts and the relevant keys that are replicable by the 280 index on page 6 of the Service Manual.

If this intervention is insufficient, you will have to change the 6 keys "PANEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY X6" whose reference is Part. No: WJ204700

See page 100 of the Service Manual for details of reference 280.

There must be accredited centers at least in England.

Good luck.

if you aren't a electronic man you should not open the keyboard .this is a big advice for all that try to fix problems by opening the organ.

I agree with Moshe! But I have read quite a few posts here about people fixing their keyboards, so I guess it can't be avoided! We are adventurers, and nothing beats the satisfaction of having done someting yourself that shouldn't be possible :)

So how did it go? Did you get it fixed? If so what did you do to fix it? Inquiring minds want to know. ;D
