Modifying an existing style.

Hi everyone.
I want to modify an existing style changing the voice/instrument in each of the OTS and or 4 variations on my Psr S950.
I have looked at some style lessons in the tutorials and also a couple of videos on You Tube, but they cover recording new
drum pattern, rythmes, chords, and bass etc. I don't want to do that. I just want to use an existing style and change the
right 1, right 2 and left/lower voices. Could anyone point me in the right direction please.
Many thanks in advance. Regards Bob

1. Load the OTS, say OTS1.
2. Make the voice changes you want.
3. Press Memory button
4. Press the OTS1 button.
5. You’ll be prompted to save the style, which you can do now, or after you’ve changed all the OTSs you want.

Hope this helps,
Fred

Hi Fred
Thank you so much for that information.
15 minutes spent at first attempt changing 4 OTSs and was done.
You make it so easy.
I have been looking at a couple of your videos on registrations
so that will be my next challenge.

Best regards
Bob

Dick Rector:
Bob, you know that doing this you can alter the voice as well.
Click a voice, a screen appears with the voice highlighted.
Click 'voice set' a screen appears with sliders and when you play with the sliders the sound of the voice changes.
If you press SAVE the voice will be saved but overrides the old voice (in the style but not the onboard styles) unless you give it a different name!. If you press EXIT nothing will change.

If you like the new voice you can save it in the USER area and than save it on an USB stick in a folder ie MyVoices for later use.
Mind! If you use a voice and give it ie 'MyGrandPiano' as new name, on the 950 the new name doesn't show. It will still show 'Grandpiano' however you changes are saved in it.

Have fun
Dick

bobn1944:
No, I didn't know you could do that.
Thanks for the information Dick.
Sounds like fun! I will certainly give it a go.

Best regards
Bob
