Question regariding Tempo and Freeze button
« on: March 25, 2018, 07:29:07 AM »
Hi All,
In the video below a guy is demonstrating the Audio link feature.
However he uses several styles to play that song.
From what I can see the Freeze button is not lit. He changes styles directly from the screen, not via registration.
What puzzles me is that the tempo remains the same.
He starts with Danger Dance then goes to Hard Trance which is the same BPM
Then he goes to Dub Step and Dance Floor which are different BPM at 3:44 minutes.
Any Idea how it is done?
I think it opens the door for some nice possibilities with style play.
I tried the freeze button, but when selecting a style from the screen the tempo changes to default even with the freeze tempo checked.

Thanks

I don't have a Genos, but on all the other models I have had, there is an option under Function to control the behavior of the style tempo.  You can opt to have it change or not change as you select a new style while one is running.
He probably had it saved to retain the tempo.  As far as the times the tempo did change, is it possible he briefly stopped the style when he changed to a new one?

Hi Eric,
there is an option called tempo lock
There must be also in Genos somewhere.
It is very helpful when I look for a style to play a song or parts of a style that fit to it.

You Guys are amazing.
Thank you.
I was thinking about the freeze function, but it is under the Menu function when selecting a styles, then style setting, then change behavior, then tempo lock.
Works like a charm.
Oh the possibilities. ...
Gotta try it out.  ;D  8)
Thanks again

I am struggling with the same problem and could find no other solution than to save a version with the tempo created in style creator.  So now when I open styles I have the same style  three times just with different tempo.

Do it tour way if you want, Kaarlo, but Tempo Lock is a lot easier.
