Favourites are for individual voices.

Create your layer, with whatever combination of voices / effects / pan / volume balance you want, then save them into a registration.

Registrations are the only way to go for this and you can save so much more as well such as effects and what pedals will do plus Pan an reverb.

If you save it as a Registration aren't you saving the style also?

Not necessarily.  You can specify which groups you want saved to a registration. You can easily save only voices.

Make sure you have not got ticks in Style on Tempo in your memory section and it will only save the voices. I save quite a few banks like this and then if I want to I can use any style along with these.
