I’ve owned and frequently gigged with the 61 key PA4X since 2016. It’s an outstanding keyboard.
That said, if I were choosing today between a (76 key) PA4X and the Genos..I would choose the Genos. Here’s why.
(1). Voices. The 4X has very good voices but, for my use, weak on guitars and a few other voices. From what I’ve heard so far, Genos has excellent voices across the board.
(2). Styles. The 4X originally blew me away with its live sound but was missing style types I liked to use. To my ears, Genos styles are just as lively now and there are many more of the type I use.
(3). 9 in. touchscreen on Genos...just spoiles a person.
(4). Weight. quite a difference for me. Genos significantly lighter.
(5). I really like the Korg Songbook but I’m finding that playlist works as well.
(6). Editing. I’ve found that editing capabilities have improved and are easier for me to use than some of the editing options on the 4X.
(7). Price. If you look around(there’s someone that contributes here), prices of the 4X and Genos are comparable.
All this said, the PA4X is an outstanding arranger. Had the Genos not come along I’d be gigging with it today and happy with it. In many ways, I wish I hadn’t played the Genos as the last thing I had planned on doing was buying another keyboard. 🤑
I believe considering construction, the PA4X is a bit better built. Also, the PA4X has deep editing capabilities if you have the time and inclination to learn how to use them.
My $.02 worth.
