Vocoder on Tyros 5
« on: January 12, 2018, 08:41:19 PM »
I am well versed with using the Vocal Harmony on the T5  but am lost in knowing how to use the Vocoder function
I remember seeing someone actually playing a synthetic voice with their right hand using Vocoder but I can't make that happen
Any experts here? Please

Make sure it is set to RH then speak as you play a note in right hand and your voice will be pitched to that note you play. You won't hear anything unless you do this. Best to use right hand chords to give body to the voice.

I think it is set to right hand but you need to drop your right hand voices down to nothing so all you here is the vocoder. The notes you play will be what you speak or sing as you play your right hand notes or chords.   It takes a little practice to use it correctly.

Like Eileen said, it works best if you turn off Voice 1, 2 and 3. Just make sure your mic volume is set correctly, then sing and play something with your right hand.
