Both are sounding great, but Genos made me feel I was in a "Hall" and Korg gave me the more intimate "Room" feeling.
There are differences in sound, and so it should be.
It's two different beasts to fit different taste.
Looking at the huge pricegap, at least here in Norway, Korg wins by 25% less money to use.
Cheers 🥂

Hi, very interesting but not very compelling. It's evident that samples are different. And sound signature too. I notice that, for certain voices, as piano or strings, I prefer Korg, and for others, Yamaha. Sounds in Yamaha are a little sharper than Korg and too much effects. In my opinion, they are complementary but too much different . The ideal is to have both !!!   ;D

Both are excellent instruments. The Korg has a lot more breath in the clarinet sample. Too much for my taste, but that's a quibble.

The demonstrator should be fined 10,000 quid for playing the sax and mute trumpet voices that way. Grating...

Thanks for posting the link -- pj

I think all it proves is once you get above a certain level the instrument you play might matter to the player, but will be of no significance to most listeners, and think we have been at that level on TOTL arrangers for at least 15 years. That is not  to say you shouldn't buy one or both of these instruments, if you like it, have the money, go for it.

Hi Guys, for me both keyboards are wonderful, each one has its own charm, but the character that makes the demonstration is not professional, in my opinion the best comparisons of Korg and Yamaha are from BONNERS, below I share a real demonstration made by a professional. greetings Hans
