Playing with RegistBank
« on: November 28, 2017, 09:01:47 PM »
Hi All!

I played a bit with RegistBank on Genos
I have about 1800 RB on a fast external microSDHC UHS-I Card (Samsung EVO Plus 32GB)
Tyros2 can have up to 500 files per folder, Genos 2500

MIDI Receive: Port2 (MIDI B/USB2) Ch1 Keyboard

RegistBank   ControlChange         Tyros2      Genos
0001      CC32 000 CC00 000 PC1   001         nothing selected !!!
0002      CC32 001 CC00 000 PC1   002         0001
0003      CC32 002 CC00 000 PC1   003         0002
....      .... ... .... ... ...   ...         ...

0499      CC32 114 CC00 003 PC1   499         0498
....      .... ... .... ... ...   ...         ...

1340      CC32 059 CC00 010 PC1   ...         1339
1341      CC32 060 CC00 010 PC1   ...         1340
1342      CC32 061 CC00 010 PC1   ...         nothing selected !!!
1343      CC32 062 CC00 010 PC1   ...         1343 OK
1344      CC32 063 CC00 010 PC1   ...         1344
....      .... ... .... ... ...   ...         ....

2498      CC32 065 CC00 019 PC1   ...         2498
2499      CC32 066 CC00 019 PC1   ...         2499

From RB 1343 up all is OK, down does not match selected RB with RB number.
RB 1342 and RB 0001 will not change or can not be selected.

Has anyone encountered this problem?

THANX

Tibor

Today I repeated the attempt with RegistBank. The dead point is now on position 47.
I attached several zip files with 2500 RegistBank and 2500 midis with CC. Would anyone find and try out if the bug is reflected on his instrument?
Sorry for my English

Thank you

All registrations only contain one registration button lit and all set to piano.

Thank You ElleenL for your answer :)

The procedure of my test was as follows:

extract 0001_1250_RGT.zip and 1250_2500_RGT.zip into one directory
extract 0001_2500_MID.zip into one directory on PC

the computer should have a connection with Genos via midi (USB or MIDI cable) PORT2 Ch1 Keyboard
from midi player on computer try to play 0001-01-yrbm.mid, 2500-01-yrbm.mid, ... , 0002-01-yrbm.mid, 1247-01-yrbm.mid
(See my first post)
when the number of the midi with rgt is not equal, so the bug is also reflected on your instrument.

I have a home made Song Book on a computer with a Drupal content management system (CMS). Through CMS (linked midi) I want to switch RGT in Genos such as Apple SongBook+ or Android MobileSheets

Thank You

Best you use an Ipad for this and use the Songbook app. Don't think it will work from a computer.

Tyros2 I've been using this system for a couple of years, it's also functional with Genos, just is there dead places/RGT that can not be select or dont work exactly.
When I send midi command CC32 001, CC00 000, PC1 : which should be select RGT number 2, it chose rgt number 1.
It is not important how the functionality will be tested.
I need it to work accurately when I send to MIDI Receive: Port2 (MIDI B/USB2) Ch1 Keyboard:

CC32 000, CC00 000, PC1 : to be selected 0001 RGT
CC32 001, CC00 000, PC1 : to be selected 0002 RGT
...
CC32 049, CC00 000, PC1 : to be selected 0050 RGT
...
CC32 099, CC00 000, PC1 : to be selected 0100 RGT
...
CC32 114, CC00 003, PC1 : 0499 RGT
...
CC32 066, CC00 019, PC1 : 2499 RGT
CC32 067, CC00 019, PC1 : 2500 RGT

That's why I sent 2500 RGT so you do not have to build just for this test.

Would anyone to try out in some way the functionality of external switching RGT on Genos?

Thank you
Tibor
