Thanks to Onacimus for a detailed and fascinating article that explains how you can identify missing OTS voices and then find suitable alternatives. The article is the latest in our Music > Articles section. The screen shots apply to the PSR-S970 but I have added some from the Tyros5 as well. Here is a direct link:

I have read through the comprehensive posts on this subject, and have tried to change one voice on my PSR 750, but have been unable to do it. I will attach the style to this post in the hope that one of our members will do it for me. The Style is called "Choir and Guitar" and I love A [Chapel Organ1] B [Oboe] and D [Classic Flute]
However, C just shows up as a dotted line.
I would like to have a grand piano voice or maybe some other voice put into C

Sorry can't figure out how to attach the file.

When using styles meant for keyboards, other than my 770, I often find the voices blanked out , a lot of the time they are silent, but on occasions they will sound, when I try to identify the said voice, It just shows me the first instrument in a particular bank, E.g if it is a piano sound, then the grand piano will show, even though it is obviously not that. What I do then is simply save the mystery voice to the user section, these voices do not seem to be in the preset section of the 770. My question is , is it possible that a keyboard can reproduce a voice even though it was from a higher specification model. ps. I make sure there is no D.S.P. editing involved as .of course, this would alter the sound.

This style is from the Church and Christmas pack and Variation C contains voices from the pack which are Church Organ Prinz and Slow orchestral strings. You can purchase this pack for 950.

Thank you Eileen. To-night I will have a crack at putting in a grand piano voice into Variation C. I assume that i can do that so that it stays there permanently on the USB stick which I keep in my PSR750. I'm hoping to do it without having to use a special program.
