Hi , this is the answer from Ian of this group for me for the same topic, which would be helpful for you

Once you have installed your keyboard in the 'Install Target' part of the program's window using the 'Instrument Info' file, and imported some packs or content into the program, if you click on the target keyboard, the top of the screen will change to show the selected target keyboard ,and 'buttons' marked 'Save as  Pack Install File' and 'Send to Instrument'

You can then select content from from each pack that you want to include in the install pack up to the maximum memory available on your keyboard.

You then use either the 'Save as Pack Install File' button to produce a PPI pack which is saved to a USB drive for transfer to the keyboard, or if you have your keyboard connected to the computer via a wireless network, you can create and send the pack to the keyboard using the 'Send to Instrument' button.

PDF versions of the YEM Owner's Manual and the Installation Guide are included in the download, so look out for them and refer to them as necessary.

Yes but you can't load a PPI file into YEM. It has to be a PPF.

Th .ppi file is an Installation file and can only be installed in the keyboard.  The .ppf file is a YEM Project File and can only be loaded into the YEM software and is used to create a .ppi file. Some 3rd party developers in the past only provided .ppi files before the latest version of YEM which now supports copy protection by requiring the buyer to send the seller their .n27 keyboard ID.  This new format is .cpi and .cpf  which stands for Copy Protected Installation and Copy Protected project File.

The .ppi and .ppf are two different formats.
