How much ram size in Yamaha tyros and genes?

And what the maximum sample it take?

Hi Musaed,

Tyros 5 does not come with any voice expansion flash.  It depends on the optional Flash Memory Expansion Module.
FL1024M - 1GB

There is a third party Mutec FMC-07 2-GB flashROM expansion card:

Genos comes with 1.8GB flash for voice and style expansion.

YEM 2.5.0 shows the following for Genos:
Voice Wave Size: 1843 MB               <-- This is the Genos built-in 1.8GB expansion flash size limit.
Pack Install File Size: 2048 MB         <-- This is the "Genos_PackInstallData.ppi" file size limit, including metadata, styles etc.

Hi Paul,
Could you tell me if this size limit of 2048 mb of a pack installation file is the same for tyros5?
I ask this because so far the maximum size I've been able to put in a pack installation file and that tyros accepted without complaint was 2041 mb.
This limit with the 3gb capacity on genos 2 doesn't make sense considering that YEM doesn't receive update in time.
There seems to be a certain inconsistency with the sizes, as in the Yamaha Expansion Manager it shows space left over to put more waves in the expansion memory, but the instrument does not accept files larger in size than a certain limit. So, in practice, it is not possible to use all the space capacity of the expansion memory.
 I suppose on Tyros5 it is also from 2048.
I made a topic about it. It looks like this is actually related to the pack installation file size.

This week I did another test: The final pack instalation file and some audio styles was 2026 mb. So I added one more audio style and the file was bigger than 2048 MB, even though the software was indicating available space in the expansion memory. Only the memory reserved for audio styles of the tyros5 (124 mb) was almost full.
Even so, Tyros5 did not accept it, giving "disk error" when trying to process the file.

In the YEM check the Voice WAV size if it exceeds the limit then you must reduce some of the voice content.
