Title: Extracting styles parts from a MIDI files to create PSR (s950) styles
Post by: sunil on September 01, 2017, 07:15:04 PM
HI,
Is there any way I can extract a rhythmic part on a midi file to create a style for a PSR keyboard (s950)? I have done this using a built-in function in Roland G1000 before to create Roland styles.
I'm looking for any software which can extract a selected part of a midi file (with sound source/effects selection info) as I need to create styles which use selected sounds (Ex. from expansion packs)
I'm new to this forum. Apologies if this question has been raised/answered before.
Thanks.

Welcome to the forum, Sunil.  :)  Please take a look at Jørgen Sørensen's utility program called MIDI2style, found at the following link:

Thanks Jørgen. I'm going through this valuable info. Already downloaded midi2style and now need to spend some time exploring it.
I appreciate your help so much. Also thanking all the forum members who made this site rich with a wide range of resources.
