Title: 'What are we playing' section?
Post by: mick47 on October 03, 2016, 04:44:51 PM
Gday ,
Just thought a section on what songs people are playing might be of interest.
Maybe talks on some of the more difficult keys ,chords etc.
We could cover all genres..talk on blues, jazz or pop and some classical maybe.
Basically how difficult or easy some music is for the contributor with some feedback ,encouragement etc.
cheers mick

If I am just sitting playing for myself I like ballads and songs you can put feeling into. If I am playing for others then I have to go along with what they want which can be anything from the 1920's to modern day. I find using multi pads can enhance an otherwise flat style or act as a form of counter melody. The main thing is to enjoy what you are doing and explore the keyboard you have to get the very best from it.

Hi Mick,

Like Eileen, I just like to sit and play.  I usually play what my wife, my grandchildren or other family members like to hear.

If I'm only playing and no one else is listening, I like to play Big Band and Latin music, but sometimes I'm all over the genres too.

I doubt we need a separate section or board as you suggested.  You might try posting your question in the Misc Announcements or Just for Fun board every so often for responses.
