Hi Chico,

Hope your health is improving.  ;D
Try it again - sometimes it does not work the first time.
Also, someone else may have been posting at the same time and that can cause it to miss.

Good luck because I want to hear your post.  8) ;)

I wasn't going to do anything today - so far, I'm on schedule, :)

We might be getting tight on space again guys and gals--but I'm not sure about this. The best way to post those large MP3s is to put them on some of the Internet's free space sites, then post a link to the file. Also the length of the file name must be somewhat short. There have been a few file names that exceeded the name size requirements that were also rejected.

Cheers,

I don't think we were quite out of space yet.  550MB had been allocated and the attachment folder was up to 511MB. Nonetheless, I've increased available space for attachments for 2008 up to 850MB.  I've also increased the maximum size of a single attachment to 6MB.  This will expand the size of an MP3 that can be uploaded.

Joe,

I hope you are not having to pay a fortune for this space.  :o
Maybe the index should only be available to supporting members?  ???
That way non-supporters still could do the individual downloads, but not have the privelage of the entire database.  ;)

Hi Joe, forgive me for posting on a different topic but I have a problem that you might shed some light on.
When I am replying to a post, I type a message and it works fine but, when I try to attach a pic. or doc., I get no response from the browse buttom on the page therefore I can't attach anything to the post that I am doing. Larry C..

Larry,

The photo must be in a .jpg or .gif and format and cannot exceed 6,000 kb. When you click browse the file upload page should open your computer so you can select from the PC's folders and pages.

Hope this helps,

Larry,

The problem will be on your end and is probably some simple setting in your browser.
If you have your security settings too severe, it will just about shut down downloading.

Yes, that's what I think also.  I think you told me your "browser" blanks come open OK after hitting "Attachment" triangle on the Forum site.

But, the desktop selection doesn't pop-up!  (Have I got it right?)

It's in the part of the Operating System called "Attachment triangle pop-up after browser blank opens".  It's a new setting Mr. Gates inserted to cause more world tensions.  You just happened to catch it before all other PC users.  Never fear - Windows 2028 will fix it!

Friend,

Dennis

Thank You Gary, Bill and Dennis.  I tried everything and ended up re-installing Internet Explorer 7.  That fixed the problem.  Here's the proof.  Larry C.
