What happened to Jörgen Sörensen?
« on: May 22, 2018, 02:12:36 PM »
Hello friends,

For a about 1 month ago i was sending him some money as before to support his site, because i think he really deserve it.
Jörgen usually responding to thank you for the support, but this time nothing.
So i thought i could send him a short message and tell him that the money comes from me.
Because when you use Paypal, you are using your real name when you sending money to someone.

So my thought was "maybe he is very busy or on vacation".

Then i started to notice that he's not active on the forum at all, as he usually is.

So my question is,... where is he?
Have i missed something?
Did he leave the forum or something?

I hope everything is ok with him, because he's great value and important person for this forum.
To be honest without his magnificent software (Midi2style), i wouldn't be able to create all of the styles i've made for the past year.

I'm just worried, so i hope no one get upset for starting this thread.

Have a nice day everyone.

Regards, Jan.

Hi Jan

Thank you for your kind words and the donation.

I have actually mailed you a "Thank You" mail twice at styles2psr@hotmail.com... ???

Maybe my mails are in your spam folder... ???

I have not been much active in the forum lately... I know.

My wife passed away in February, and I have a lot of other things to handle...

But I am "fine" and I will be back... and as you notice, I still follow the forum...

Dear friends

Thanks for your condolences and thoughts.

Aase got a cancer diagnosis in October 2015. Cancer in rectum, liver and lungs.
She began with some ray-treatments, which were very hard; and in January 2016 she began chemotherapy, which continued in more than 2 years. During this long period she was able to live a rather normal life. At no time she needed strong medicine just some ordinary painkillers. But slowly her strength - an appetite - was discreasing. The 16 February she was hospitalized, as I no longer could handle her at home. She could hardly walk... was dehydrated... An the 23 February she passed away with our only son and me at her side. Quietly, peacefully and no pain.

Well this way more than 42 years together ended. We knew what was going to happen; but sure the big loss is there each and every day. Luckily I have good friends, neighbours and family; and I am involved in many local activities. Life goes on... but is sure is more quiet here, especially in the evenings.

There has been so many things to handle; and my concentration sometimes slips away. That's why I have been rather quiet here... but I will be back... not a warning, a promise...  ;)

Thanks again

My deepest sympathies also.. I also lost someone over 20 years ago.  It deeply impacted me, and altered my path in life and business.. Almost 70, cancer is the main disease now, which has taken and continues attacking my loved ones and friends..

I was not lucky to have gotten to spend as much time, and shared experiences with someone, as you have.. And of course, just as each of us is physically differently, we are emotionally different.. Most of my Mom's side had a very pragmatic approach to death..  They seemed to have the ability, to turn off, or subdue the pain of sadness and anguish..

At first I thought it was my Mom's training as a nurse in WWII.. She'd seen a lot of death, and always genuinely seemed un-impacted by it. But then I noticed it was a trait all her brothers and sisters seemed to have.. In any event, it appeared to serve her well, as she continued to move on thru life, with little emotional turmoil.

I wish you the best. You have been a very valuable and treasured friend here. You have been an always present member, offering solutions, and valued knowledge.   I feel, like many of us long-term members here, feel like we are good friends.
