I have it loaded. Works fine. Requires Genos 1.10 and YEM 2.50 I believe.

Hi Gerad

You did remember to link the download with the Genos ID Info file.  If you are not connected to the internet when you install into YEM you will not be able to use it.

Sorry if the above appears basic, just a long shot.

I have firmware 1.10.
YEM is version 2.5.0.3.
This time I created a pack including Country Musician for Genos and Genos audio styles Country&Jazz.
When I tried to load the pack, I get the error "Unsupported File Type".

.cpi is the pack install file. It can install directly to GENOS
You can not import it to YEM.

I created the pack in YEM, the .cpi file.
I put the .cpi file on my USB stick.
I tried to install in on Genos but did not work, and gave me an error.

Hi Gerard

Just a thought.  When you have the Expansion Manager running on your computer, which keyboards to you see at the left hand side.

If you still have the Tyros 5 showing you will need to import the Genos ID File.

I copied the instrument file again to my USB stick, reinstalled the .n27 file in YEM, created a pack again, and put it on the USB stick.
When I tried to load the pack, I got the following message.
"This file can not be installed on the instrument"

When you say you created the pack yourself do you mean they are voices you created on the YEM or are they UVN files you loaded to make a pack. In this case I think they would have had a PPI extension.

Eileen,
I created a pack from the Country musician Pack that is the Genos updated version.
I also included on Audio Style set for Genos for the Country&Jazz.
Both are the Genos versions.

Hi Gerard,

I am having the exact same issue in that I can not load any of the Audio Bonus Packs after going meticulously through the install procedure instructions provided in the zip file.

I have tried it both ways by saving to USB and installing it into Genos. Also by doing the wireless route and although the loading process starts in both cases I always get an error message.

The instructions provided say you should create an original pack installation file  .ppi file but I noticed that when saved to the USB it is a Genos-PackData.cpi.

One thing I have noticed is that all my other imported packs have a Green Tick but the Bonus Audio Files do not even although they show all of the audio contents.

So I am at at loss as to what to try next.

Cheers

Grant

Hi All

Sorry folks I feel a bit of an idiot as I have solved it. I did not realise that you had to select each item on the lower plane of  Expansion Manager. Once I selected them all by simply clicking on them the Audio Bonus Packs turned green and I was able to transfer the pack via the wireless method and have also save it to a USB.

So if you do that Gerald that hopefully will solve your problem.

Cheers

Grant,
Thanks for trying to help it did not work.
I selected just the Country Musician pack, made sure everything was checked in the lower panel, and it still will not load into the Genos.

Hi Gerard,

Sorry to hear that but I do have one final thought as it happened to me. When I first unzipped the downloaded Audio Files and they appear as three separate files, Audio File, List for Genos and the text file.  I assumed they have been completely unzipped, until I noted an Extract All at the top of the window box. I Extracted all and immediately noticed the difference in size of the Audio file which I then imported to Expansion Manager.

It is highly probably that you have already done this but if not it's worth a go.

Anyway I hope you manage somehow as there are some nice audio styles in the bonus packs.

Cheers

Just Extract the files onto the root directory of a USB stick. Go to YEM On the section under the Packs select Create pack. Then select import and go to your USB stick and pick the pack. It will then install. You can save all the packs to one file which keeps the YEM tidier.

Ok, everyone!
I found the problem.
I took the pack file and put it on another USB stick and it worked!
The stick it did not work on, is brand new, formatted on Genos, reads all the styles and playlists but will not load the PACK file.

You only use WIFI instead to packs to your USB drive.

then you can also extport your pack out the GENOS also to the USB drive.

Best Regards,
Wim

Exactly how do you export an installed pack from Genos (or other keyboard that uses YEM)?    ??? ::)

I have the same problems with two USB stick. One formatted in Genos, the second one formatted FAT32 on my PC, both of them failed on PACK install from USB. I managed to transfer thru wireless, which is best solution when you are at home, because Wireless transfer will only update the Genos's memory, it will not format it.
