Bulk delete from Music Finder
« on: November 21, 2017, 06:40:36 PM »
I would like to make more room on my Music Finder.  I already know how to delete individual things, but if I wish to delete a whole batch , such as  "Disco Pop" which I never use , is there a way to do it on my PSR750?
I'm fairly sure that I can't do it on my laptop.

In fact this can only be done on a computer!  On the keyboard itself you can only delete one record at a time and this is very tedious if you have more than a few to delete!

If you save the contents of your current Music Finder as a '.mfd' file to a USB drive, you can then transfer the drive to a computer (PC only) and load the file into a program such as Michael Bedesem's 'MusicFinderView', which can be downloaded from this link...

It is simple to modify the file in the program as you wish, and then save the modified file back to USB.

Finally after connecting the USB to the keyboard, you can load the modified '.mfd' file back into the MF.

Hi

You can use my "Music Finder File Manager" software at http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/mffm/index.htm
