Connecting keyboards
« on: November 18, 2017, 10:08:37 AM »
I have a Tyros 5 and a Ketron SD7. I know I can connect them via MIDI cables but what can I achieve by this. Do I need to access both keyboards or will the master keyboard control everything. The reason I ask is that the slave keyboard will have to be standing on end beside the master. I know that a module would have been better but it is too late now.

Would really appreciate your ideas about this but please keep it in terms that an idiot can understand.

Yes.  If you connect the MIDI out to the MIDI in, one will control the other when you play the keys.  It can control other things as well.

NEVER stand your keyboard upright for any length of time - it KILLS the keybed.

Get a dual stand and put the one you will not be playing on top.
