Can the PSR / Tyros series interpret chords from an imported audio / Mp3 file?

Thanks.

If you mean chord tracking capabilities, the answer is no, unfortunately...
You'll be able to use the chord tracking feature on iPad or iPhone with the yammy's app from app store.
More info:

I don't own any apple device, and I don't know if this app works as described on Yamaha's site...

Hi --

I've used ChordTracker both with and without my PSR-S950. ChordTracker by itself extracts a chord chart from a digital audio file (e.g., mp3) in your music library. It displays the chart and plays back the original recording while following the current position in the music.

ChordTracker is smart enough to divide the song into sections, too.

ChordTracker also has a feature to transfer the chords to your PSR arranger. Yamaha state compatibility with S770, S970 and Tyros 5, but
I have successfully used the transfer feature with my S950.

I wrote about my experience here:

http://sandsoftwaresound.net/chord-tracker-revealed/

Also, please read its built-in manual for more usage information. Yamaha have a similar app called "Kittar," which does not have the chord transfer feature.

Hope this helps -- pj
