Fun with PSR 2100
« on: July 01, 2017, 03:33:06 PM »
Hello out there :) I am new to this forum, but have had my PSR 2100 for 14 years. I was thinking av buying a new instrument, and googled a bit. Found this page, and discovered that there was new styles I could download. Then the fun started: First I had to have Winrar to download the files. Purchased it. Then I went to town i search of a floppy disk drive, - and found it!!! But floppy diskettes was another matter! I searched the whole apartment, and EUREKA! there was a packet of floppies! But alas, they were corrupted. Kept getting error messages all the time. At last I found a couple of diskettes that I could use. Then there was the keyboard! It was a long time since I had done file trensfer on it. New hunt for the user manual. Found it. Studied it. Now it was the middle of the night. Out with the dogs, who wondered why I behaved so strangely :) In again, back to file transfer. It worked at last. Now I have several wonderful new styles on my aging, but beloved old friend. This page has been so helpful. Glad I found you all, and let us continue having fun with our trusty old 2100 keyboards :)

Thanks for Your answer :) I probably will keep it, even if I buy a new one. I love this keyboard, and have had much fun making music on it :)

I started out with a PSR2000 keyboard and here is a link to over 500 Yamaha styles that will work in your PSR2100 keyboard. These styles are all from newer Yamaha keyboards that I have converted the Voices to the ones contained in the PSR2000.
