Acapellas
« on: June 08, 2017, 12:31:43 AM »
Hi everyone
I am not sure if this is of any interest to anyone, but I had a thought that maybe a new page could be created for people to post websites such as:-"Acapellas4you" or suggestions where you can download
or purchase them.  Also maybe some helpful information on how to use this feature and or post some Acapellas.
Kind regards
 jm

Are you talking of Acapella styles or acapella singers who sing with no music just the harmony of there voices.
Like the old Barber Shop Choirs.

Hi Eileen, I was talking about Acapella Singers.
Sorry for being so vague! I love Music, but have only really taken up music in retirement!
So as you can tell I am still learning!
Thanks for replying :)
Have a great day!
Kind regards

I like a cappella singing as do many people but this website is soecifuc to Yamaha arranger keyboards and while we do encourage some general interest type music related posts it would probably not be appropriate to devote a webpage on this site to a non related subject like a capella singing.

Hi Mikf
I understand what you are saying, but you can have capellas on the Tyros5,
so that you have a vocal accompaniment, adds another level, which I and a few of my musical
friends really like.

Forgive my late entry into this topic, but "a Capella" refers specifically to unaccompanied singing, as in EileenL's example or Gregorian chant, or many Renaissance masses. No instruments take part.

Gregorian Chant

Under "Music Performances", we have a board labeled "Music Videos and MP3s on the Internet".  The "Songs Played by Forum Members" is the place to post a link of your own performance on a Yamaha keyboard.  The more general Internet board is a good place to put other internet links that people may find interesting.  The Acapellas link could go there.
