Show new replies to your posts.

Hi there ,

earlier I could  click on that link and I could see all new / latest posts .
Unfortunately that is not working anymore , for months ,  neither via  XP nor via Windows 7

Sometimes I miss some posts like that message from Dean and really do not
like that . People might even think what an ignorant member …….

Anyway , I’ll try to pay more attention

Udo

Hi Udo

The link is still working. That is when you click on the correct one.

The link shown on the first graphic is NOT actually a link.

Thanks Bill , my mistake I meant that first link which interests me

Show unread posts since last visit  and I think it should be a link as I get that pointing finger ?

Hi Udo,

If something isn't working as it should, or used to work, and you believe it's through no fault of yours, I would suggest that you send Joe Waters a Private Message.

Have a great evening, my good friend.

Udo, what happens when you click the link-- does it do anything? The two links ("unread posts" and "new replies") both load the same page or script ("index.php"), but with different parameters. If the script isn't finding anything to display for you, I'm wondering if it might be a problem related to cookies? Or maybe it could be related to whether your browser is displaying a locally-cached version of the page versus loading the page anew each time? Which browser are you using-- Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc.? Check its settings, especially the ones related to cookies, caching, and when to check for new versions of pages.

Yes Michael , that is probably the case , cause when I click it often shows nothing but not always .
When I do the same thing on the smart its the same thing .

Cause I do not want to miss anything I click here

further down

And that works . But is shows a much more than asked ……I think

So I skim through it and …well probably miss something

I am not completely useless with PC but fed up with all these every day software and web changes

Thanks & Regards
Udo

Hi Udo,

If, in fact, your problem is related to cookies, as Michael suggested, simply clear your cache and that most likely will correct the issue.  It's a good idea to do this frequently and I do it often.

Here's a link for you to check out:

I use CCleaner, which is a free program, to keep all my computers running smoothly.  It contains many tools to keep your computer functioning properly and can also clean your system registry of corrupted or crossed links.  If you don't already have this great tool, here's the link:
