OTS Settings, definition and modification
« on: June 05, 2016, 07:14:53 PM »
How can I find what the OTS settings are for a given Style?

Also, can the OTS settings be modified or are they fixed?  (I suspect they can be user-modified but haven't found out how yet)

1. Can't help you.

2. To change an OTS
-- Load the style
-- load the voices you want
-- Press Memory, then the OTS # you want to change
-- If you want to change other OTS's, go ahead
-- Finally, save the style

How can I find what the OTS settings are for a given Style?

You can see the settings for each of the right hand Voices in two places.

1. The VOICE EFFECT (Panel) button positions:  They are either On or Off

2. The Mixing Console (Panel) (middle button) there are 5 pages you can Tab across to look at the various settings (too many to list here).  You can edit any of these parameters, then save the R1, R2 (R3 on the Tyros) by memorizing to an OTS button... then save the style when you are done with all of your Voice edits.

If you just want to see basic info such as the voices that are used, then on the style selection display there's an "OTS INFO" option for soft button "6down" (i.e. the buttons below the screen).

Hi --

A quick way to view the basic OTS information is to hit DIRECT ACCESS and then one of the OTS buttons. I can never remember the voice layout in my registrations and this helps me out all the time. If you want to know about the multipad assignments, then hit DIRECT ACCESS and one of the multipad buttons.

I've used Jørgen's OTS editor quite a bit. Good stuff. Load a style and you can see and edit everything. (Thanks, Jørgen.) The "remix" feature is really handy and is a good way to bring a favorite voice or two into a style.
