'welcome back' fake psrtutorial email?
« on: March 21, 2016, 08:45:56 AM »
Hi, I changed my PSRtutorial contact email last week no problem, but just had this 'welcome back' email today with a clickable validation link.  Am being over-cautious, probably nothing.

  from psrtut2@server - psrtutorial.com

My inbox warns says the email does not match the from address.  Did not click on the link but deleted it to be safe.

As I'm logged in and posting here on PSRTUTORIAL without needing to do anything else, I'm assuming it was some kind of malware scam?

EDIT: correction: the email dated Friday 18th

   cheers, Jack

Jack,

That is definitely a bogus e-mail.

We would clearly mark any e-mail as from one of the moderators in addition to PSRTUTORIAL.

And we would more than likely post such a welcome back here on the forum instead of an e-mail.

I wasn't going to do anything today - so far, I'm on schedule, :)
