When posting, there are three options at the top given to the poster.

Quote

Modify

Remove.

Two of the three work.

I can quote my own topic.  I can modify my topic.  But I can't remove my own topic?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the purpose of these options?

When you are the initiator of a thread, you can not remove your post, but you can remove any post you make to an already existing thread.

This is to protect follow-on posters to a thread because if you remove the first post, all following posts are also deleted.
