Then wanted to to a pickup this link so it could be stuck in a reference...?????

Bill Grosse showed me how to link to a specific post.... works great....

How do U pick up the "Entire" search results as a "Hotlink"?

Frank,

You do your search and while the search result is displayed, you right click on the "Search Result" item at the top of the search page.
Then Click copy shortcut and paste in your message. Problem is you end up with a very long hyperlink. There is a way to store a pseudo
name instead of the actual code, but the method escapes me at the moment.

I wasn't going to do anything today - so far, I'm on schedule, :)

Howdy do to You Seeker,

1. Execute the Search...

2. With results of search displayed....

3. NOTE in GREY area just above the page numbers:

PSR Tutorial | Search | Search Results

4. In WIN XP... Right Click on Search Results

5. Select "Copy Link Location"
5a Paste into your message

6. Select "Bookmark This Link"

I used "Waters" as the search word and the following link is the result....

http://www.psrtutorial.com/forum/index.php?action=search2;params=YnJkfCd8fCJ8c2hvd19jb21wbGV0ZXwnfHwifHN1YmplY3Rfb25seXwnfHwifHNlYXJjaHwnfFdhdGVyc3wifHNvcnR8J3xyZWxldmFuY2V8Inxzb3J0X2RpcnwnfGRlc2M=

The link is very long, but should work just fine....
If your editing into a message as I did.... Just place cursor on the link line press end key then a return
and you've got a new line...

This could really be a handy tool.... Let us use it and we'll see

Good searching,

You can shorten the link by using the UBB codes. For example, here's the same link using the codes. Notice the word Link now is underlined, indicating it is a link to a site location. This is accomplished by merely typing  [ url= ] the site address followed by [ /url ]. I left spaces so the information would show up on your screen, but when typing the UBB codes leave the spaces out.

Awesome idea, Seeker.

I particularily want to "hot link" to some deeper, internal Mixing Board stuff!

How do you suggest it be set-up?  Could it also hot-link to the Tutorial section? (is there a "search" over there also?)

Dennis,

Joe Waters and I are now in contract negotiations phase  ROFLMAO...

I am talking with Joe in this regards....

This will not happen overnight... it will be many weeks of work...
Then on top of that will need to be "Refined"

I too think the basic Idea is good, but the implementation and refining will be
very "tedious" and time consuming....

Once I sign a contract with Joe.... LOL
I'll proceed with additional work..... Bill Grosse also had some really good ideas
towards it....

It will be an "Open" type application with abilities to add different things...
Initially concentrate on the PSRTUTORIAL data portion which all of U original folks
have posted too...

Even once this is done the USER will have to do some additional work on their own..
Its only a method to EASILY present data to them...
