Screenshots - PSR-S950
« on: August 04, 2015, 02:02:07 PM »
If you watch some videos, such as Marcin Ryzcko's Yamaha PSR-S750 Styles Medley, or Glyn Madden's Yamaha PSR-S910 demo, they get perfect screenshots of the sounds and/or styles. Does anyone know how I can do that on my Yamaha PSR-S950?

Look in the FAQ section in paricular F.152 and F.170. These refer to how to do it on certain models of keyboards. I dont know if these will work for you.
Click on the blue text at the bottom of the page. PSRFAQ.

Maybe I'll do a little dig-up in this topic, but I have to explain. This may disappoint you JGardynMusic, but images present in my S750 medley which you mentioned, are just photos of the screen taken with a phone and processed in GIMP. :)

Hi JGardynMusic,

yes, as I described in the posting linked by "Joe H" in reply #3, please try the following:

• Switch off your S950 and connect a formatted USB stick.

• Press and hold  the following Voice Category Buttons and then switch power on:

---> in first (upper) row: Press the 3rd and 4th button (= Organ + Accordion&Harmonica)
---> in second ("middle") row: Press the 1st button (= E.Piano)

• Every time you press Registration button #8, a screen shot will be taken (and stored as a .bmp file onto USB stick).

Regards,
Chris

P.S.
In this mode Registration #8 can NOT be reached by pressing the Registration #8 button, but you can go to REGISTRATION EDIT display and call up Registration #8 by pressing "I" button instead. :)

I must say I'm highly surprised, that there is screenshot procedure in S750! Why did I struggle with taking photos then? ;D Have to check it... I've got my S750 for almost 3 years and it looks there is waaay more to know about my keyboard... ::)
