USB powered LCD monitor
« on: January 20, 2014, 01:37:29 AM »
Hello to the all music friends

I bought wery lightweight and thin lcd monitor http://www.gechic.com/product_help_en.asp?s=3  I'd like to use in connection with Tyros4 as external  monitor. It works pretty good and need just 1USB port to power (power consumption 5V 1A). Is it safe to connect monitor to any of Tyros 4 Usb ports, I mean can Tyros USB port provide 1A (1000mA) current? Is there any difference between computer USB & Tyros 4 USB port in max. current? I know I can use additional USB power supply but it would be more practical to simply connect into keyboards USB port.

Friendly regards
Branko

Hi Branko,
I believe the usb port on the T4 is 5v 500ma so you will need to power the monitor externally. Others with more knowledge of the T4 may correct me on this.
