Can I add Yamaha styles to a digital piano?
« on: December 31, 2012, 02:20:33 AM »
Dear all,

May I ask this question? I heard that new digital pianos these days by Yamaha or Casio also has automatic accompaniment styles. However, the built-in styles in these pianos are very limited in general.

So can you add new styles, like those found here, to those pianos? I would like to buy one such piano, but don't know if the styles will be limited.

My sincere thanks,

You can to some of the CVP Clavinovas made by Yamaha. I do not know about others. Ask a Yamaha dealer...I am sure they would be glad to tell you.

They are quite $$$. See:http://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical-instruments/keyboards/digitalpianos/cvp_series/?mode=series#tab=product_lineup

Thank you for your kind advice.

So far I'm looking at the Casio PX-350, but still hope I would find a Yamaha within my budget.
