PSR 2000 Out of Mothballs, Mind Still There...
« on: July 23, 2012, 10:46:04 PM »
I'm sorry to have to post such a basic question but it's been a long time since I used my PSR 2000.

When I put the keyboard away a couple of years ago the Music Finder had 51 styles stored in it. Now two of those I can't select (the MF just skips them) and 3 more produce a "Style file lost" message.

Why does the MF skip over the 2 styles, and

How do I retrieve the 3 lost ones?

Those particular style files have probably been deleted from your user area, and can no longer be found by the Music Finder.
Just my guess and of course I've been wrong more times than I care to count.

Also  skeezix, if you ever decide you'ld like a few hundred bucks in your pocket instead of a psr 2000 in mothballs, let me know.
I have a friend looking for something like that.

Yes and and I've found that the more older you grow the more wronger you get.

I need to spend more time with the keyboard and understand the intricacies of the Music Finder.

Hi skeezix

I still use a PSR2000 and I find that the storage space available with the keyboard is quite small. I continually run out of space while just working up a new style for a song.

The only items I keep permanently stored on the keyboard are:
2 Vocal Harmony setups
1 Registration of optional country instruments (nylon guitar, piano, harmonica, 60's guitar, fiddle, steel guitar, strings, sax)
1 Registration for setup of a foot switch to turn the VH on & off

Instead of the Music Finder on the keyboard, I just use an Excel spread sheet. Using the spreadsheet allows me to use over 500 styles from just about all the newer keyboards.

Here is a link to the spreadsheet:

This spreadsheet is 9 complete songbooks compiled into 1 (it contains 1500 song titles).

Here is a link to the 500 styles:
