z5300 Logitech Speakers
« on: August 14, 2011, 02:33:05 PM »
Quite a long time ago, someone I believe mentioned about how to hook the z5300 speakers to a keyboard.
What wires went where etc,.
I have not used mine for a some time and I lost my paper on how I did it.
I would appreciate if some one can help me out.
When you get my age you sometimes forget a little bit.
My Keyboard is a very good PSR - 2100
Thanks

Larry,

You need a Y cable that has two 1/4"plugs to one 3.5mm stero plug. You can get one at Sweetwater Sound. Item is Hosa CMP159 (10'). Sells for $8.99 with free shipping.  Here is the link.  http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/CMP159

Have a great day!

Thanks for your reply Tommy.  I will see about that right away.

How about the settings on the speaker controller and the settings on the woofer?

What did you do there?

Larry,

I have the z5500 but I assume they are similar. The cable is connected to the music(note input). I set the volume for the channels and sub according to the way it sounds. Usually max on everything but sub.  Overall is controlled by master volume.

Have a great day!
