RegFix is designed to assist in using registrations created on one instrument with another instrument. This includes converting any registrations made on a different instrument to that of the target instrument and identifying needed files or manual modifications.

In addition:

  • RegFix displays the style, voices, multipad, and song used for each registration and can be used simply to view the contents of a registration bank.
  • Preset styles, multipads and voices are automatically reassigned. Where no comparable item is available, or another substituted, a diagnostic is provided. A concise missing report may be generated to aid in modifying problem registrations on the instrument.
  • User files (i.e. styles, multipads, and song files in locations other than the preset area) are displayed in lists sorted by location and filename, with duplicates eliminated, to permit configuring a target instrument to match the source registrations.
  • All reports may be copied for use with other programs or printed.
  • RegFix supports registrations with the file extension RGT, i.e., Tyros2, Tyros, PSR-3000 and PSR-S900.

RegFix creates registrations which are readable in the Tyros 2 and earlier instruments. To make registrations compatible with the Tyros 3, they must first be processed by Yamaha’s T2_FileConverter ver 1.1.1 to convert them to a new Tyros 2 format, and then be processed by Yamaha’s Tyros3 FileConverter ver 1.0.0. These conversion programs can be downloaded from the Yamaha tab under Utilities or from the Yamaha US site.

This version of RegFix is available for both the Mac and Windows operating systems.
